Meet Dr. Alessandra Mayo

Dr. Alessandra (Allie) Mayo, DMD joined Eastgate Dental Excellence in July 2022. She graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry in 2021 and completed a general practice residency at the University of Louisville in June 2022. As a very detail-oriented person, she loves that dentistry allows her to be precise and artistic in her work. She also enjoys knowing that caring for her patient’s oral health is contributing to their overall health. Dr. Mayo was inspired to go into dentistry by her childhood dentist who was so patient and kind to her. She later realized how dentistry is the perfect combination of medicine and art and has happily found her passion in it.

When not working, Dr. Mayo enjoys spending her time exploring Cincinnati (as she is new to the city), baking new recipes, and traveling. She also enjoys spending time with her parents and brother who live in her hometown Paducah, Kentucky, and her sister who lives in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Mayo is a houseplant enthusiast who also enjoys drawing and painting. She has always had a fascination with dentistry and used to write notes to the tooth fairy as a child. She is hoping to become trained in providing Botox for patients this year.
