Pediatric Dentistry Services at Eastgate Dental Excellence

Routine Dental Exams and Cleanings

Visiting the dentist every six months for a professional cleaning and dental examination protects your child’s teeth and gums from developing tooth decay, periodontal disease, and other dental problems early in life.

Providing your child with comprehensive dental care throughout childhood will help them grow into healthy adults.

Fluoride Treatments and Sealants

Preventive care is key to preserving a child’s healthy teeth and gums. We provide professional fluoride treatments to strengthen tooth enamel and sealants to fortify your child’s molars, safeguarding them against tooth decay and daily wear and tear.

Digital Dental X-Rays

Digital dental x-rays allow us to thoroughly monitor the health and development of your child’s teeth. Digital x-rays show us the growth of your child’s permanent teeth as they develop below the gum line and reveal any problems that could be occurring inside your child’s teeth.

Patient Education and Dental Care Instruction

In addition to preventive dental care, our dentists, Drs. Daniel Kelley, Jodie Yildirim, and Mary Margaret Vaughan, also specialize in talking with children about the importance of caring for their teeth at home in between visits to the dentist.

We’ll help teach your child proper brushing and flossing techniques, in addition to discussing dental safety during sports, nutrition for healthy teeth and gums, and other positive habits that will support their smiles.

When to Schedule Your Baby’s First Dental Exam

Your baby should first visit the dentist for a checkup around their first birthday or when their first tooth erupts — whichever occurs first.

During your baby’s first dental appointment, we’ll talk with you about what to expect while your baby is teething and give you advice on how best to care for your baby’s new teeth.

Additionally, we’ll explain signs and symptoms to look for that could indicate (or lead to) a developing problem such as thumb sucking, teeth staining, or going to bed with a bottle.

Comprehensive Dental Care for Your Whole Family

It’s never too early to introduce your child to healthy dental care habits with regular dental visits! Eastgate Dental Excellence is experienced in providing dental care and dental education to help children develop healthy habits from the start.

Whether your baby’s first tooth has just emerged or you would like to establish your whole family’s dental care with our dentists, we welcome you to contact Eastgate Dental Excellence today.

From Our Patients

"Absolutely love Eastgate Dental Excellence. I had to have a lot of extensive work done after an injury and made many visits. Each of the staff members were wonderful and made me feel very comfortable even during COVID. So happy to have found a place I do not dread going."

Heather H

Great people. Highly skilled. Very patient and concerned that I have a pain free experience. Only complaint would be on pricing. Dental care is close to being unaffordable especially if you have a mouth full of crowns and aging fillings. "

Garry P

"Always extremely friendly and helpful! They make me feel comfortable. I forgot to ask off work for my appointment, they got me a new appointment the day I asked for, no problem. They pay attention to me as an individual, even remembering my wedding date! I would definitely recommend! "
